Hezel Associates Hires New Employees: Two Full-Time, One Part-Time
In an expansion to its team of literacy experts, Hezel Associates hired Kathe Simons as a senior research associate.  Simons worked briefly for Hezel Associates as an independent consultant and part-time before joining the firm full-time.  Working from her home in New Hampshire, she uses her expertise in literacy, special education and professional development in a number of projects for Hezel Associates’ PK-12 division.  Simons holds a doctorate in reading and writing instruction from the University of New Hampshire, along with a Masters of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State College.

Hezel Associates hired Tracy Herman as a research associate for its PK-12 division.  She works remotely, full-time, from her home in Rochester, NY.  Herman applies her background in data collection and analysis to Hezel Associates’ projects for the Ohio Department of Education and Thirteen/WNET.  She has a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from North Arizona University, and more than seven years of work in research and education.  Before joining Hezel Associates, Herman worked remotely as a research associate for Magnolia Consulting, based out of Virginia, contributing to efficacy and evaluation studies in the education.

Kim Glassman recently joined Hezel Associates as a part-time research associate in PK-12.  Her work is focused on a number of different tasks within PBS TeacherLine.  Glassman works remotely from her home in Pennsylvania.  Prior to joining Hezel Associates, she was a program associate for the William Penn Foundation where she researched and evaluated strategies of the Foundation's three grant program areas—Children, Youth and Families; Arts and Culture; and Environment and Communities.  Glassman has a Master’s degree in Education, focusing on interdisciplinary studies in human development, from the University of Pennsylvania.  She expects to earn a second Master’s degree this May from Temple University.
